About Judd Stauss
Judd Stauss is a former University of Denver hockey captain and professional defenseman who has dedicated his career to developing the next generation of players. A native of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, he played four seasons with the Denver Pioneers (1997–2001), serving as team captain in his senior year before moving on to the ECHL, where he contributed to a Kelly Cup championship run with the Greenville Grrrowl.
After retiring from pro hockey, Stauss returned home and became a driving force in youth development. As the Development Coordinator for East Grand Forks Youth Hockey, he leads skill programming, coaches’ education, and long‑term player development initiatives that have strengthened the community’s hockey pipeline.
Stauss is known for his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to building a positive, competitive environment for young athletes.
